CHULA VISTA, CA — October 13, 2021 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Latina and Associates, Inc., parent company of El Latino San Diego Newspaper and Celebrando Latinas Magazine, is proud to announce a new online informative source, ChulaVistaToday.com.

ChulaVistaToday.com is a web-based news platform that focuses on all the current and breaking news affecting the community of Chula Vista, California. With support from the Google News Initiative (GNI), ChulaVistaToday.com will serve as a web-based platform focused on current and breaking news and will feature all the relevant news, events, arts and culture, sports, and entertainment that bring the community of Chula Vista, California together. Additionally, ChulaVistaToday.com has received funding as part of the GNI’s Local Experiment initiative, which seeks to support new, diverse models for journalism.

Leading this effort are Fanny Miller as President and CEO of Latina and Associates, Inc. and Jennifer Bustamante as Publisher of ChulaVistaToday.com. With a team of local reporters and journalists that understand and care about the city, this project will cater to local businesses, families, and visitors.

Fanny Miller stands out for reaching thousands each week and making it into a business. Miller founded El Latino newspaper in 1988. El Latino is the largest Latina-owned Spanish-language newspaper in California. Today, El Latino has more than 186,000 weekly readers, six reporters, and is online at ellatinoonline.com. Miller, who is president of El Latino newspaper, said there is a strong need for El Latino, with many Spanish-speaking, first-generation immigrants needing to learn about their community and the laws of a new nation.

Among her accolades are a community advocate award from Wells Fargo and the Hispanic Marketing Lifetime Achievement Award from the San Diego Ad Club, the 2021 Woman of the Year in Media award from the Latino Business Association, and recognition by the San Diego Tribune as one of the 26 phenomenal San Diego women in business to know.
