Mayor of the City of Manchester on COVID-19 pandemic’s impact including a rise in homelessness

Description of the video:

This week we spoke to the Mayor of the City of Manchester, Joyce Craig about the pandemic’s impacts on the city, including a rise in homelessness across the state, along with fostering inclusivity and equity as New Hampshire sees a record-breaking number of Latinos moving in.

Mayor Craig acknowledged that COVID-19 has affected different groups within the city at a disproportionate rate. Her office continues to target important information and resources towards Latinos through Spanish billboards, hiring bilingual community health workers, and more.

“Everything we’re doing here has to be culturally effective and we need to make sure we are providing information in various languages…to protect everybody in our community,” Mayor Craig said.
