Welcome to this week’s episode of NHLN Opinion+, our weekly program that is dedicated to discussing the concerns and opinions of New Hampshire’s Latino community!
We spoke with New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Paul Parisi all about the Division of Fire Safety’s operations and how they have been impacted by the pandemic, the department’s biggest goals for 2021, along with important fire safety reminders.
Fire Marshal Parisi emphasized the importance of functional smoke detectors and staying alert of fire hazards—especially throughout winter. In 2020, there were 13 unintentional residential gas fires in New Hampshire and 12 of those homes did not have a working smoke alarm, according to Parisi. Check out the Division of Fire Safety’s website and social media accounts for more fire safety tips.
